Have a measuring stick?

Today we measured.  Ths may seem like a dull activity to most but try it with your child and you may get a different reaction.  Kids love to chart their growth.  We made a list for each child of each of their body parts (arm, leg, head, hand, foot)  and proceeded to measure one another and write the results on their papers.  We've decided to do this on the first day of each month and track their growth.  They loved the attention it gave each of them and comparing the lengths of their arms legs, etc. with one another.  It was a good opportunity to use different measuring tools (ruler, yaardstick and measuring tape).  Make sure you participate too!
