What to Do Wednesday: Counting Cups

Materials You Will Need:
  • disposable cups
  • markers
  • 55 pennies or other small objects
What To Do:
This activity will allow you to check your child's number recognition and accuracy in counting. It will also keep your child engaged for a long time.

Write each number, 1-10 on the bottom of each cup. See if your child can place the cups in order from left to right.

Count and distribute the corresponding number of pennies into each cup.

You may want to suggest counting the pennies before putting them in the cups.
