Language and Communication

Babies express their needs and feelings through sounds and cries, body movements, and facial expressions.  Your baby may begin using words sometime around 1 year.  By the time your child is 3, you can be having short 'conversations.'  When your child is a baby, repeat the sounds and words your child uses.  As your child grows, talk about what you do together- as you play, do errands, or visit friends and family.  Enjoy being an important part of your child's language development!
